Dear SHS Families,
You are cordially invited to attend the Skyview High School Parent-Teacher Conferences scheduled for Tuesday October 30th 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday November 1st 8:00 -11:00 am, 12:00 to 4:00 pm, 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
A parent-teacher conference is a brief meeting designed to discuss your student's progress at school and find solutions to academic or behavioral problems if those are present. These conferences supplement the information conveyed by the grades (available on Powerschool). Most importantly, it cements the partnership needed by families and the school to guide students to graduation in a timely manner. While conferences can take place without the presence of students whose progress is being discussed, I strongly suggest that they be present as their inclusion increases the productivity of the meetings. Please bring them along if you are able.
You may confer with any or all your student’s teachers on a, “first come, first served” basis. Please limit meetings to four to five minutes per teacher to accommodate as many families as possible. If you (or someone you know) requires an interpreter for conferencing and are unable to bring someone to assist with the language, please be aware that we have contracted a Spanish Interpreter to support our meetings.
Finally, if you are unable to attend, do not hesitate to email or call teachers and counselors if you have any questions after you review your student’s mid-term grades. Please plan to join us at our Parent Conferences on Tuesday October 30th 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday November 1st 8:00 -11:00 am, 12:00 to 4:00 pm, 5:00 to 8:00 pm. As always, your attendance, support, and cooperation are very much appreciated!
