Skyview High School has a distinction of being an urban school in a rural setting. Skyview pushes its students to excel and provides supports to all students. Academic rigor and college and career readiness are focal points for all curriculum taught within the Skyview walls. Staff and administration foster a culture of acceptance and strong moral values.

Reflecting the district’s commitment to meeting the needs of all students, the core courses of language arts, math, science, and social studies are aligned to the Common Core Standards. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in all of the core disciplines. Technology that includes shared laptops and interactive white boards is also integrated throughout the curriculum. World language courses include Chinese, and Spanish from basic through advanced levels. A wide variety of elective courses are offered in business, music, art, theater, physical education, engineering, social studies, language arts, and family and consumer sciences. Some of the elective courses offered through our Career and Technical Education are available for certification.

In order to provide educational programs that fulfill the unique needs of our students, we offer multiple avenues of advancement through
our programs

• Concurrent Enrollment Program: Students may earn high school and college credits by enrolling in courses that have been articulated with one of our local colleges. We are currently partners with: College of Western Idaho, Boise State University, Northwest Nazarene University, and College of Southern Idaho. Students in this program are encouraged to strive toward completing their General Education Matriculation courses during their time at Skyview High School.
• Career and Technical Education: Nampa School District offers 29 different career and technical pathways. The pathways are aligned with the following career clusters: agriculture and natural resources, business and marketing, engineering technology, family consumer sciences, health professions, and skilled and technical sciences. Many of these pathways offer certification upon graduation.
