Drumline / Percussion Ensemble A + B

Percussion Ensemble | All Percussion Students are Enrolled in this Course

All percussion students take this course instead of a regular band class.  Students learn percussion fundamentals, perform music with the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, and perform percussion ensemble music.

Beginning Band / Concert Band A + B or Percussion Ensemble A + B

Students New to Band or Learning a New Instrument

Students in this course will gain a basic understanding of a band instrument before moving into either the percussion class or the concert band class.  Beginning Band is a 1 Trimester course offerered if enough students select the course.

Students can select from:
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, or Percussion.  Percussion students learn both mallet percussion and drums.  Students in beginning band can also perform in the front ensemble of the marching band.

Non-Varsity Concert Band | Woodwind and Brass in 9th Grade or By Placement

Students who play Woodwinds, Brass, or Upright Bass can take this course.

Marching Band / Wind Ensemble A + B

Varsity Wind Ensemble | Woodwind and Brass in 10th-12th Grade By Placement

Students who play Woodwinds, Brass, or Upright Bass can take this course.  Placements for this course happen in March for the following school year.

Varsity Jazz Band | 10th-12th Grade Students By Placement

Students that play Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, Guitar, Bass, and Percussion can audition.  Students must be enrolled in a band, orchestra, or percussion ensemble course may participate.

Per. 6 Jazz Band II A + B

Non-Varsity Jazz Band | 9th Grade Students and 10th-12th Grade Students by Placement

Any student enrolled in band, orchestra, or percussion ensemble can participate.

    IMEA All-State Auditions

    Auditions must be submitted through the band director.  No auditions will be accepted the day of the submissino deadline.

  • Students at the high school level can participate in the District III Solo and Ensemble Festival.  Students who perform qualifying works can advance to the state level by placing in the top 3 of their category.  Districts happens the last week of February.  State is the first weekend in May.  The fee to participate in the District level festival is currently $20.
